Baton Rouge 1980

I'll always regret not seeing MTB before losing Tommy, but in May of 1980 my cousin (and lead singer of Frozen Fat, our high school jam band) picked up three tickets to see MTB.   John Beatle, as my cousin was known, handed me the tickets when I graduated from Mamou High School that June.  The concert was in Baton Rouge, a two-hour drive from our small cajun town.  JB, myself, my girlfriend and another couple hit the road, general admission tickets in hand.  We worked our way to the front of the stage.  Firefall was the opening act so there was a lot of great flute playing that night from both bands.  A girl nearby was sitting on her boyfriend's shoulders and lost her halter top - but Toy was playing 24 Hours at a Time and my eyes were glued to that Les Paul fret board.  Thanks for the memories Toy!  And thank you JB for a night I'll always remember!
