Greetings is the last album recorded before teh break-up of the original band (except for TommyCaldwell, who passed in 1980).  While Carolina Sunset and Rollin' River would have seemed at home on any previous Tucker album the remainder of the songs were not typical Tucker.  It seemed they were trying very hard to be country, perhaps to move - like CHarlie Daniels dod - into the country charts.  They should have just continued to be themselves and the move would have happened naturally and I think they would have also picked up alot of the fans of Alabama and Hank, Jr. - both of whom had a rock edge to tehir music - as Tucker always had.  While the remainder of the songs are fine, they were just a lot different that what most fans had come to expect - but that could be said for the band's previous two releases (Tuckerized and Just Us) as well.  Blood Red Eagle is a catchy number about life on the road - something these boys were used to.  Closer to Jesus is a up tempo gospel tune - an area covered on the band's debut album as well as on Tenth.  The remainder of the songs are straight ahead country and lack the extended solos that fans had come to expect...
